Holiday Party

Everyone enjoyed the holiday resident party, and each child walked away with a special gift that was given to them by Santa. The children wrote stories about their community and read them aloud at the party to those in attendance. The parents, children, and staff all enjoyed taking pictures with Santa. With over 60 attendees, everyone enjoyed refreshments, dancing, and holiday cheer!

The local police provided 1000 warm meals and winter clothing at Langley Gardens for Thanksgiving

Resident Appreciation Day:

Again this year Carlos, Ingrid, Wendy and staff did a terrific job of hosting Resident Appreciation Day in August. About 225 residents enjoyed the usual games, activities and characters that make these special events so much fun. These included: a clown, a DJ, and Cartoon characters such as: Spider Man, Dora the Explorer, Olaf, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Minions, Mickey Mouse, and Batman. New this year was a Zumba program. Kids also enjoyed two moon bounces, playing musical chairs, hula-hoops, balloon toys, face painting, and special gifts. There was a dance contest and the best dancers where given prizes. Residents also enjoyed hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn, chips, and sodas. Many people helped make this event a huge success, including Felix Samayoa, Miriam, Sophia, Luis, and community police officer Carter, who provided security, and helped make the entire event enjoyable. A great time was had by all.

Summer Food Service Program:

Served about 25 kids per day until early August.
